Rose Season

The grand floral parade transpired last weekend, meaning that according to a local superstition I've heard once or twice since moving to Portland, summer can officially begin.


I found this photo of the 1963 Rose Parade (featuring Queen Linda) on Etsy through this Portland seller.  It's especially charming to me because I can recognize the exact place the photographer stood to get the shot. 

Perhaps this is the beginning of a Portland memorabilia collection?
